Dr Holowaty is a graduate of the University of Toronto Medicine Program (2008) and completed both her Doctoral thesis in Molecular Genetics as well as her family medicine residency at the University of Toronto. She has a Masters degree in the area of Palliative Care from the University of Maryland and a CCFP certificate in Addiction Medicine.
She has completed the Integrated Structural Acupuncture course for Physicians from the University of New England. She has trained in the Mindfulness Based Chronic Pain Management program from NeuroNova Centre. She is a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Therapy Studio in Toronto. She is trained in EMDR therapy.
With this background, she provides a holistic approach to chronic pain, substance use disorders, and mental health.
